MANILA, Philippines — Ayala-led ACEN Corp. has secured a key offtake agreement for a portion of the clean electricity generated by its fully operational 520-megawatt Stubbo Solar in Australia.

The company, through ACEN Australia, finalized a deal with renewable electricity retailer Flow Power for 10 percent of the solar facility’s generation output.

The offtake is expected to enable Australian households to tap into locally generated renewable energy as Flow Power rolls out its residential electricity plan, Flow Home, in New South Wales.

“This agreement helps us link everyday households to renewable energy in a way that supports Australia’s clean energy transition,” Flow Power COO Byron Serjeantson said.

“We’re pleased to support ACEN Australia’s growing portfolio of renewable projects and look forward to working together to expand access to clean energy in New South Wales,” Serjeantson said.

According to Flow Power, Flow Home rewards customers for using renewable power when the supply is abundant, empowering households to take advantage of low energy costs.

“Our partnership with Flow Power allows renewable energy from Stubbo Solar to be directly matched to customer demand,” ACEN Australia managing director David Pollington said.

“It’s an example of how new offtake models can deliver shared value, connecting generation to end users, driving affordability and strengthening grid resilience as Australia accelerates its clean energy transformation,” he added.

With a capital investment of A$760 million, Stubbo Solar reached full commercial operations last week, standing among the largest solar projects ever built in Australia.

The facility is projected to power around 185,000 Australian households annually, contributing to New South Wales’ target of 50 percent renewable electricity by 2050.

ACEN, the Ayala Group’s listed energy platform, has a portfolio of over one gigawatt of large-scale projects in construction and operations in Australia, with more than 13 GW of capacity in the development pipeline. Its portfolio includes solar, wind, battery and pumped hydro projects.
