MANILA, Philippines — Sunlight Air’s newest addition to its fleet, an ATR 72-600, has officially landed in the Philippines and will soon be flying passengers to top island destinations.
The local boutique airline previously announced the procurement of the aircraft earlier this year, which successfully landed in Clark International Airport recently.
The ATR 72-600 is a modern aircraft renowned for its efficiency and sustainability. This new addition complements the company’s three ATR 72-500s by offering enhanced performance tailored for short-haul regional flights.
With a seating capacity of up to 68 passengers and low carbon emissions, the ATR 72-600 underscores the airline’s commitment to eco-friendly operations and passenger comfort.

“This new aircraft is only one manifestation of the airline’s growth over the past few years, and this fleet expansion comes in line with our plans to continuously improve Sunlight Air’s services and eventually expand our route offerings,” said CEO Ryna Brito-Garcia.
With the expansion, the airline aims to further broaden its services in line with its mission to make local tourism in the Philippines more accessible to all.
The ATR 72-600 officially entered service last October 26 and will fly the Clark-Siargao, Siargao-Cebu, Cebu-Busuanga, and Busuanga-Clark routes.
The airline also announced its newest destination, the picturesque Siquijor. Sunlight Air will fly four times weekly to the island starting on December 15, and is the first airline to offer direct flights from Cebu.
