MANILA, Philippines — The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) has announced the live implementation of enhanced credit exposure reporting for small banks next month.
In a memorandum signed by BSP Deputy Governor Lyn Javier, the central bank said the Enhanced Comprehensive Credit and Equity Exposures Report of 2023 (COCREE 2.0) for rural and cooperative banks beginning with the reporting period ending Sept. 30 must be transmitted through the central bank’s Reporting Management System–COCREE 2.0 Live Module (BRMS-LM).
The schedule sets the deadline for the first live submission on Nov. 28, covering the September 2025 report. Subsequent reports for the December 2025 period will be due on Feb. 19, 2026, while starting March 2026 onward, reports must be submitted within 25 business days after the reference period.
According to the BSP, rural and cooperative banks confirmed by the Credit Reporting System Unit to have successfully completed two pilot testing cycles might proceed with their maiden live submission through the BRMS-LM.
Banks that begin live submission by Nov. 28 will be granted a three-reporting-period grace period, provided they continue active participation in live submissions.
Meanwhile, those unable to start by the deadline may continue pilot testing through the BRMS-COCREE 2.0 Sandbox (BRMS-SB) until Jan. 30, 2026. After this date, the sandbox will be deactivated, and all submissions must be filed live through the BRMS-LM.
Rural banks that start live submission after Nov. 28 but before the sandbox closure will also enjoy a one-period exemption from penalties for the September 2025 reporting cycle.
For institutions not covered by these grace provisions, penalties for reporting violations will apply starting with the September 2025 report.
