Colegio de San Juan de Letran is putting the post-game altercation between Kevin Santos and Mark Denver Omega in the rearview mirror as the Knights shift their focus back on their NCAA Season 101 campaign.

The two big men were seen figuring in a verbal exchange as frustrations further grew after they fell to a dismal 0-3 card following their 95-80 loss to De La Salle-College of Saint Benilde on Wednesday.

But head coach Allen Ricardo said they have settled the issue in their post-game huddle, sharing that Santos and Omega have resolved their spat as they now turn their attention to their next game.

“Because of ano lang naman ‘yun, of the frustrations. We already addressed it, tinapos na namin dito,” Ricardo said.

Ricardo believes the altercation may have a silver lining, saying it showed his players’ competitiveness and hunger to finally break through.

Letran hopes to finally turn things around when it battles Emilio Aguinaldo College (EAC) on Saturday at the Mall of Asia Arena, as  Ricardo urges his big men Santos and Omega to control the boards and set the tone inside.

“It happens but I do believe it’s healthy somehow,” he added.

“Kumbaga ‘yung willingness to win. But on the other hand, the most important thing is, we settled things out before umalis kami sa dugout na maayos, may clarity, and mahaba pa naman ’to.

“We’ll see. I hope we get that first win on Saturday.”

In Letran’s first three games, the Knights were outrebounded as they fell flat to JRU, San Beda, and Benilde for a 0-3 start in Group B.

“Ayun nga, kailangan dumoble kayod pa ‘yung mga bigs namin to get those boards and at the same time, ‘yung mga things na if you’re open na dapat automatic shoot na. May mga point-blank misses, resulting in possessions sa kanila.”
