MANILA, Philippines — The Valenzuela City Hall was the big winner of the 2025 Oro Inodoro Awards, honoring the best public restrooms in the Philippines.
Held at a Pasay hotel last November 19, World Toilet Day, the ceremony formerly known as the Golden Kubeta Awards expanded its category eligibility and attracted even more nationwide entries.
Categories were divided into Public Offices and Spaces, Hotels & Malls, Gas Stations & Transport Hubs, Schools & Universities, and Restaurants & Cafes.
The Valenzuela City Hall won both the Grand Winner Award and the Public Offices and Spaces category.
“Ang pagkilala na ito ay patunay ng ating pangangalaga sa kalinisan, kaayusan at dignidad ng bawat Valenzuelano na gumagamit ng ating mga pampublikong pasilidad,” the city’s mayor WesGatchalian said. “Sa Valenzuela, naniniwala kami na ang malinis na palikuran ay simbolo ng maayos na pamahalaan.”

The other category awards went to the following:
- Hotels & Malls – Bacoor’s Kiddie Loo at NOMO
- Finalists, S Maison and Robinsons Magnolia
- Gas Stations & Transport Hubs – Shell Mobility Vista Verde Molino
- Finalists, Clean Fuel Quirino and One Ayala UV Terminal
- Schools & Universities – Philippine Women’s University
- Finalists, De La Salle University-Manila and University of Makati
- Restaurants & Cafés – Bataan’s Hanan Coffee Brewers
- Finalists, Emilia House of Filipino Food and Paris Baguette
The One Ayala UV Terminal did receive the Banyo ng Bayan award based on social media votes, making it the people’s choice.
Parañaque’s Casa Elmira meanwhile received the Banyo Para Sa Lahat award for catering specifically to the needs of people with disabilities and various gender expressions.
Beyond the disctinctions, the Valenzuela City Hall won P30,000 while the other award winners also received P10,000 each.
