South Korean police have banned former Prime Minister Han Duck-soo and ex-Finance Minister Choi Sang-mok from travelling overseas as a part of a probe into alleged rebel linked to former chief Yoon Suk Yeol’s martial regulation bid, a police official mentioned.
The journey ban was imposed in mid-Could, the Yonhap information company reported. Han and Choi have been questioned on Monday by a particular police unit investigating former prime authorities officers over rebel fees, Yonhap mentioned.
After Yoon was impeached for violating the duties of his workplace in December, there have been questions on what position Han and Choi performed within the former chief’s short-lived martial regulation and if they’d resisted the transfer as they claimed.
The December 3 martial regulation declaration, which was revoked hours later by parliament, thrust South Korea into an unprecedented constitutional disaster that concerned each Han and Choi serving as performing president.
