MANILA, Philippines —  Siemens Inc. has welcomed Fabian Bergeron as its new president and CEO for the Philippines.

Bergeron succeeds Enrico Buergo, who was at the helm of Siemens in the country for over five years.

Prior to being named president and CEO, Bergeron was head of smart infrastructure energy management in Taiwan.

Siemens ASEAN CEO Thai Lai Pham said Bergeron “is a true-blue Siemens guy, who has grown his career in the company.”

Bergeron joined the Siemens Graduate Program, an extensive training program that grooms talents in strategic thinking, communication skills and the ability to manage complex challenges and leverage Siemens’ huge ecosystem.

Bergeron sees the Philippines as a country brimming with opportunity for the company.

With the Philippines being the second biggest country in Southeast Asia, he said the company wants to do more and grow here.

“We are punching way below our weight,” he said.

He said the company wants to focus on the following verticals: food and beverage, cement, water, life sciences and data centers.

“I think the market is there. We just need to, as a company, to get more disciplined, more structured, focus on the key opportunities we want to win and get those and then grow organically, healthily, to a size which reflects the market,” he said.
