Impressive
Chelsea’s question-and-answer and head-to-head challenges impressed the viewers.
In the questuion-and-answer portion where she picked the name of Miss Cote d’Ivoire Universe 2025 Olivia Yace, Chelsea was asked what one mindset about women that limits their progress.
“It would be that we are not leaders. That is not true. We women, we have that innate value of leadership; however, sometimes we are not given opportunities and spaces and chances.
“And as Miss Cosmo, who ignites change, I would like to empower every woman to immerse yourselves in activities that could enrich your skills and in order for us to move forward. Because we women can stand on our own, and women could also have it all,” Chelsea answered.
After she was called as the Top 2 of the pageant who will engage in a head-to-head debate style of challenge, the Filipina beauty gave her action plan for her passion project Paradise of Mangroves in 90 seconds.
“The Philippines is home to more than 7,000 beautiful islands. However, with that beauty comes an ugly truth: we faced extreme flooding, harsh calamities, and natural disasters,” Chelsea said.
“And [with] this action plan, we are planning to plant 5,000 propagules in one hectare, and that would be set in the Municipality of Lebak, Province of Sultan Kudarat, Philippines. With this, I believe that the economic growth will definitely go up to 20 to 30% in just one year. And I hope you continue to support me in this mission because I believe the little seeds that we plant today will grow into a forest of change tomorrow,” she ended.
For her rebuttal, Chelsea had 60 seconds to answer USA’s question on how her project can be done on a global scale.
“Well, honestly I started the advocacy since 2019 and I have been to different cities and provinces to plant more mangroves and propagules not just in Sultan Kudarat. I started in the City of Hope, which is Tacloban, and also in Sorsogon. But I believe that I should start in my country since I really started it in 2019 but I believe through our collective efforts with the help of local government units, non-government organizations, and private sectors, I know that my advocacy would go a long way and definitely be global. So I hope you help me continue this and build more mangroves for the future,” Chelsea said.
The jury committee members included Yace, former Miss Universe Organization president Paula Shugart, and Miss Universe 2021 Haarnaz Sandhu.
The 2nd Miss Cosmo International grand finale was streamed to a global audience through the Miss Cosmo International channel on YouTube from the Creative Park in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
