Pedro Taduran shows form in media workout ahead of world title defense

Reigning IBF world minimumweight champion Pedro Taduran showed a glimpse of his form and conditioning during a media workout on Friday at Elorde Sports Center in Parañaque City.

Taduran, 17-4-1 with 13 knockouts, will defend his world title in a rematch against Ginjiro Shigeoka on May 24 at Intex Osaka in Japan.

Training under the tutelage of Carl Penalosa, Taduran skipped rope, shadowboxed, sparred four rounds, hit the pads, heavy bag, and double-end bag before wrapping up with his abs routine.

The upcoming bout will be his first ring appearance since winning the title against the Japanese in July last year.
