MANILA, Philippines — Animal welfare group Philippine Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) is opening its doors to individuals wishing to pay respects to their beloved fur babies who’ve crossed the rainbow bridge.

PAWS’ Neal Cruz Pet Memorial Wall located at the PAWS Shelter in Quezon City is accepting guests who wish to visit memorial tiles dedicated to their pets until November 2, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The shelter’s clinic and office will remain closed, resuming operations on Monday, November 3.

The memorial wall opened in 2007 for owners to have a ceremonial place to honor their deceased pets. As of writing, there are more than 500 tiles for pets of all kinds — dog, cats, rabbits and even chickens.

It recently had new roofing installed and the organization is inviting pet parents to customize tiles for their furry friends.

PAWS is also celebrating November as Adopt A Senior Pet Month, encouraging Filipinos to adopt older rescued animals who’ve been waiting years for a new owner.
