PAL, Cebu Pacific cancel 10 Center East flights March 2

MANILA, Philippines — Native carriers Philippine Airways (PAL) and Cebu Pacific (CEB) canceled 10 flights scheduled for Monday resulting from rising tensions within the Center East.

In an advisory, PAL stated the cancellations had been made to make sure the protection of passengers, crew and floor personnel.

PAL flights PR 684 Manila-Doha, PR 685 Doha-Manila, PR 658/659 Manila-Dubai-Manila, and PR654/655 Manila-Riyadh-Manila had been cancelled.

CEB cancelled flights 5J 14/15 and 5J 18/19 Manila-Dubai-Manila.

“The security and well-being of our passengers, crew, and groups on floor stay our highest precedence,” CEB stated in an advisory.

Free rebooking and journey fund choices can be found for CEB passengers.

Refund and rebooking choices are provided to PAL passengers.

In the meantime, the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines stated Sunday it was carefully monitoring flight operations following heightened tensions within the Center East.

“We’re carefully monitoring the state of affairs within the Center East and are in fixed coordination with airways, airport authorities, and worldwide aviation companions,” CAAP Director Common Raul del Rosario stated.
