MANILA, Philippines — Thailand-based pageant Miss Grand International is rescheduling its inaugural “All Stars” edition, assuring that previously announced contestants will remain eligible.
The competition initally scheduled for January 25 to February 13 next year was set to feature women and transwomen aged 20 to 40 regardless of marital status or if they have competed at and won a pageant before.
Miss Grand International issued a statement on its social media accounts confirming the postponement of the “All Stars” edition to a later date.
“This decision has been made because the event coincides with the extended New Year holiday period, which may cause delays in visa processing for participants from several countries,” the pageant said.
The pageant reiterated that all contestants already officially announced will remain eligible and confirmed to participate in the competition.
These include two Filipinas — Miss International Queen 2022 winner Fuschia Anne Ravena and Noble Queen of the Universe 2025 winner Alexia Núñez — as countries are allowed to send more than one delegate.
Further updates regarding the schedule will be announced in due time as registration for new contestants remain open.
Previously revealed along with Fuschia and Alexia were Singapore’s Qatrisha Zairyah, Malaysia’s Melisha Lin, Myanmar’s Thet San Andersen, India’s Sanjana Sekharmantri, Japan’s Yuka Oyama and host Thailand’s Tharina Botes.
The winner of the Miss Grand International All Stars edition will receive a cash prize ranging from $100,000 to $1,000,000 (approximately P5.9 million to P58.9 million) in addition to the All Stars title.
