Manny Pacquiao has put an end to speculations as he officially announced his comeback fight against WBC world welterweight champion Mario Barrios on July 19 at MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
“I’m back. On July 19, I return to the ring to face WBC Welterweight Champion Mario Barrios at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Let’s make history!” Pacquiao wrote on his Facebook page on Wednesday.
The 46-year-old Pacquiao has not fought in professional boxing since he suffered a unanimous decision loss against Yordenis Ugas in 2021.
Pacquiao, 62-8-2 with 39 knockouts, arrived in the USA earlier this week to train with Freddie Roach at the Wild Card Gym in Los Angeles.
Boxing’s lone eight-division champion, Pacquiao, is set to be inducted into the prestigious Hall of Fame next month.
