Lyceum ends campaign in style

MANILA, Philippines — Lyceum of the Philippines University salvaged some measure of pride after it downed San Sebastian College, 23-25, 25-22, 25-22, 25-18, yesterday in NCAA Season 100 women’s volleyball at the San Andres Gym.

Joan Doguna and Angelica Cruz took turns and fired 17 And 16 points, respectively, as the Lady Pirates improved to 8-8.

LPUm which also drew solid efforts from Johna Dolorito with 14 points and Ashley Muchillas with 12 hits, was just trying to finish decently after being booted out of the Final Four race.

It was a painful exit for LPU, which was tipped to make the Final Four anew this season after keeping the core of its team from a year ago.
