MANILA, Philippines — Creatures and beings from tales far and wide filled the annual “Shake, Rattle and Ball” Halloween party hosted by Tim Yap.

This year Tim went with a “Once Upon a Time” theme, decorating The Space at One Ayala in Makati last October 30 with inspirations from fairy tales, dreams and folklore.

Tim did have a little fun with his “Ghosts of Projects Undone” costume, with fake bills exploding around him upon revealing his look.

Michelle Dee could give Pinhead from “Hellraiser” a run for their money after filling her head and face with silver studs, complemented with a warrior’s breastplate.

Raymond Gutierrez, who co-hosted “The New Nocturnals” the night before, toned things down with a simple yet bloody costume.

Also donning simple costumes were Tony Labrusca with angel wings, Ariella Arida as the Biblical character Eve and Niana Guerrero as a fairy, though the latter was among the Best in Costume winners and received a business class flight to Dubai.

After going all out as a black cat at “The New Nocturnals”, Andrea Brillantes committed to the bit once more by transforming into a pink alien princess.

Gosiengfiao sisters Alodia and Ashley wore complementing costumes of black and white while drag queen Yudipota struck up the fashion as a monarch butterfly.

The biggest surprise of the evening was Hong Kong-born K-pop star Jackson Wang showing up at the party with Anne Curtis, both in simple black outfits.

Jackson is in the Philippines for his upcoming “Magicman 2” concert on November 2 at the Araneta Coliseum.
