MANILA, Philippines — Actress Valeen Montenegro gave birth to her first child with husband Riel Manuel.
The couple posted on Instagram that Valeen welcomed their first baby on November 11 after 28 hours of labor.
Riel said watching Valeen go through labor “showed me what real strength looks like.”
“She’s my hero,” he added.
He then thanked his wife “for enduring every challenge, every ache, and every worry just to bring our little one into this world.”
Celebrities, such as Carla Abellana, Maxine Medina and Chariz Solomon, to name a few, sent their best wishes to the first-time celebrity mother.
Valeen and Riel got engaged in 2022 and married in January 2024. They announced that they were expecting their first child last June.
