MANILA, Philippines — Italpinas Development Corp. (IDC) is ushering in new leadership as it embarks on its next chapter of growth.

IDC’s board has appointed Italian engineer Giuseppe Garofalo as the company’s new CEO, replacing Romolo Nati.

Garofalo has been a key member of IDC’s leadership team, serving as chief operating officer for several years.

“Giuseppe’s appointment marks a natural and well-deserved progression. His deep operational knowledge, strong leadership, established community relationships and engineering expertise make him the ideal person to lead IDC into its next phase of growth,” IDC president and co-founder Jojo Leviste said.

Garofalo welcomed the trust placed in him by the company’s board of directors and reaffirmed his commitment to IDC’s mission.

“IDC’s success is built on a unique blend of sustainability, innovation and teamwork. I look forward to leading our talented team as we continue to grow responsibly, create value for our shareholders, for the environment and for the communities and deliver thoughtfully designed certified green developments to our clients,” he said.

Nati, IDC’s co-founder and the visionary behind the firm’s award-winning architectural and environmental design philosophy, will remain as chairman of the board and assume the title of chief of design office.
