MANILA, Philippines — Boxing legend and former politician Manny Pacquiao humored Filipinos after pointing out one of his expensive accessories wasn’t bought with flood control kickbacks.

A viral video posted by a certain Roy Bacalso sees Manny seated beside his wife Jinkee when the individual behind camera got up to take a closer look at Manny’s watch.

The quick images of watch show it encrusted in sparkling diamonds, and as the camera pulled back Manny quipped, “Hindi ‘yan flood control ah!”

Jinkee proceeded to pat Manny on the neck and head as the person behind camera laughed in response, “Dugo’t pawis ang puhunan!”

Comments left on the video post echoed the reply as many pointed out Manny’s rags-to-riches story, emerging from Mindanao to become arguably one of the best boxers in the world, on top of serving in both houses of the Philippines Congress.

A number of Manny’s political colleagues are in hot water for their alleged involvement in corruption, particularly in flood control project anomalies.

Several of the senators tagged in the flood control corruption mess were Chiz Escudero, Joel Villanueva and Jinggoy Estrada.

Manny has confirmed he will return to the boxing ring this January in Las Vegas, where he ended a four-year retirement to take on Mario Barrios last July.

No opponent has been named yet, although World Boxing Association welterweight champion Rolly Romero already has the inside track in landing a lucrative date with Pacquiao.

In the meantime, Manny will next be seen leading Team Philippines in Netflix’s reality fitness show “Physical: Asia.” — with reports from Jean Mangaluz and Dino Maragay
