If Seoul were a movie, Prime Video’s “Seoul Mates Tour” would be the highlight reel where fantasy meets fandom and your K-drama daydreams turn into real-life scenes.
From pink muhly fields to Han River yachts, from BTS pilgrimages to swoon-worthy K-drama backdrops, the Seoul adventure was the ultimate blend of entertainment, emotion and everything in between.
The “Seoul Mates Tour” with Prime Video was giving main character energy every step of the way.
First stop was Big Hit Entertainment, the ARMY’s Holy Land. Our journey began in Gangnam, the ground zero for ARMYs all over the world, the iconic former Big Hit Entertainment Building.
Here, RM, SUGA, Jin, J-Hope, V, Jimin and Jung Kook trained, hustled and made history. Standing there felt surreal, and it felt like stepping into a page of modern music legend. ARMYs would understand: you don’t just visit, you pay homage. We saw messages on the wall from as far as Uzbekistan to Puerto Rico and beyond.
Fans write messages of love and gratitude on every corner, every post-it wall, every inch of that sacred space. I found myself grinning while searching for a tiny spot to leave my note — “Love you, J-Hope! You’ll always be my bias!”
And speaking of J-Hope, his concert film “Hope on the Street” and “BTS: Yet To Come” are now streaming on Prime Video, which is a perfect treat to relive their passion wherever you are.
Next stop, about an hour and a half from Seoul, was the breathtaking Garden of the Morning Calm in Gyeonggi province, which is one of South Korea’s most cinematic hidden gems.
The garden isn’t just a backdrop; it’s a K-drama icon. It’s where beloved shows like “Head Over Heels” and “Alchemy of Souls” were filmed.
Imagine walking through the same pondside paths where your favorite characters confessed their love. Only this time, it’s you catching that cinematic light in the crisp fall breeze. Beautiful!
To add to that, of course, my favorite part: the pink muhly grass that only blooms during this time of the year!
The cotton-candy field only blooms from September to November. Truly a fairytale come alive in shades of blush and pastel. It’s easy to spend the whole day in this setting. Warning though, there’s a lot of uphill walking. So, get your foot gear ready when you visit.
From floral fantasy, we moved to cultural beauty at Namsan Hanok Village, another filming location steeped in history and modern charm.
I have been to Seoul numerous times, but it was my first time as well in this setting. I did not expect to have this cultural gem in the middle of a busy city. Usually, it is the Gyeongbokgung Palace that comes to mind first.
Anyway, fun fact: The “Butterfly” series, starring Asian superstar Daniel Dae Kim, was filmed right here. The traditional hanok houses, the quiet stone paths, the romantic views of Namsan Tower, every corner feels straight out of a K-drama montage. Even seasoned Korea traveler Kristen Fulgar, who has been to the country 17 times (and married a Korean husband, no less!), said this was her first time discovering the village.
“I used to do K-drama location hunting on my first trips to Korea,” she shared. “But this place? I didn’t even know it existed. It’s so beautiful and not as touristy — perfect for those who want to experience something new.”
Kudos to Prime Video for curating such a gem of a tour discovering the Seoul that even the veterans missed! And surprise, surprise. Korean actor and content creator who is “Pinoy by heart” JinHo Bae revealed that he actually filmed his first-ever movie here in Korea.
“I shot my first film with Kelvin Miranda and Kira Balinger here,” JinHo said. “What’s amazing is how these locations transform, autumn looks different from winter and that magic makes every visit feel new.”
Now tell me, are you Team Conrad or Team Jeremiah? Because this next scene screamed “The Summer I Turned Pretty” vibes! For the grand finale, we boarded a stunning yacht for sunset sailing along the Han River.
Picture this: golden skies, the Seoul skyline shimmering in the distance, and that soft breeze making you feel like you’re in a rom-com montage or an action sequence where you’re running away from the perpetrator. The choice is yours.
It wasn’t just for the aesthetics, though — this was the actual filming site for the K-drama “No Gain, No Love,” a Prime Video exclusive that’s all about chasing passion and connection.
Joining us was actress and singer Denise Laurel, who is also a K-drama fangirl. Besides Den, creators Benedict Cua and Evan Tan were also there.
As the yacht sailed past the glowing bridges of the Han River, I couldn’t help but feel the magic that connects fans, creators and dreamers all over the world.
Seoul wasn’t just a backdrop. It was a reminder that every story — whether it’s about BTS’ humble beginnings, a K-drama’s breathtaking confession scene or a Filipino artist’s rise on a global stage — starts with a spark.
And thanks to Prime Video, we got to chase that spark together across pink fields, ancient villages and starlit rivers.
So, what is next for Prime Video? K-drama fans, mark your calendars. Watch out for upcoming titles featuring Lee Jung Jae’s “Nice To Meet You” and Park Seo Joon’s “Surely Tomorrow” this month.
