CCP loans 5 artworks to Nationwide Gallery Singapore for Fernando Zobel exhibit

MANILA, Philippines — The Cultural Middle of the Philippines is loaning 5 artworks from its twenty first Century Artwork Museum Assortment to the Nationwide Gallery Singapore (NGS).

These 5 items are “Portray No. 1” by Nationwide Artist Jose Joya, “Portrait of Fernando Zobel” and “Fernando Zobel Lecturing on Artwork and a Pupil Listening II” each by David Cortez Medalla, “Calligraphic Oracle” by Manuel Rodriguez Sr., and “Ku III” by Fernando Zobel.

All 5 might be featured within the NGS’ ongoing solo exhibition “Fernando Zóbel: Order is Important,” its first-ever devoted to the Filipino summary artist.

The exhibition that includes greater than 200 work, drawings, prints, pictures, and archival supplies highlights Zobel’s function in bridging cultural contexts and enriching world dialogues on trendy artwork.

It follows the “Zobel: The Way forward for the Previous” exhibit that opened in Spain’s Museo Nacional del Prado again in 2022 which was restaged within the Ayala Museum final 12 months.

The brand new exhibit covers two gallery areas, organized into 5 sections that traces a section of Zobel’s creative improvement.

“Fernando Zóbel: Order is Important” will run in Nationwide Gallery Singapore till November 30.
