Bianca drops to share of 10th

MANILA, Philippines — Bianca Pagdanganan carded a two-over 74 in the second round to drop out of the joint lead and into a share of 10th in the Mexico Riviera Maya Open at Mayakoba in Mexico Friday.

After a hot 68 opening in a morning tee off Thursday, Pagdanganan found the afternoon conditions at the El Camaleon course tougher to navigate and managed three birdies against a triple bogey.

At 142, Pagdanganan sits four shots behind new leader Jenny Bae of the US, who wrested pole position from No. 2 with her second straight 69.

Pagdanganan’s compatriot Dottie Ardina, however, missed the 148 cutline by a mere one stroke after submitting a 75 following her first-round 74.

Bae holds a one-shot pace against China’s Miranda Wang (bogey-free 65).
