MANILA, Philippines – In a landmark moment for Philippine fashion, lifestyle and retail brand Bench takes the global stage as the Official Swimsuit for the highly anticipated 74th Miss Universe pageant, to be held in Thailand on November 21.

This monumental partnership places a “Proudly Filipino” brand at the center of the world’s most prestigious pageant, reinforcing Bench’s status as a global competitor and a champion of Filipino creativity.

As the universe watches, candidates from across the globe will don two bespoke collections custom-designed by Bench, each telling a unique and powerful story.

‘Power of Love’ for inclusivity

Embodying the pageant’s spirit of progressive change and unity, the first collection is themed “Power of Love.” This collection will be showcased during the crucial Preliminary Competition, set for November 19, at the Impact Arena, Muang Thong Thani, Bangkok.

In a bold and beautiful embrace of inclusivity and diversity, these swimsuits will feature the seven vibrant colors of the LGBTQIA+ flag. This collection is a powerful statement from Bench, celebrating love in all its forms and championing the right of every individual to be seen, heard and celebrated.

This move aligns with Bench’s long-standing commitment to fostering a community where everyone belongs, taking that message from the Philippines to the global Miss Universe platform.

A ‘Sky of Thailand’ tribute

The second collection is an elegant homage to the gracious host nation, aptly named “Sky of Thailand.” These designs will be unveiled during the glittering Coronation Night on November 21, also at the Impact Arena in Bangkok.

The designs will draw inspiration from the three iconic colors of the Thai national flag—red, white and blue—symbolizing the nation, its faith and its monarchy.

To elevate this tribute, Bench has collaborated with renowned Filipino designer Neric Beltran to create breathtaking custom embellishments. Beltran, known for his intricate artistry, has crafted stunning details inspired by the Ratchaphruek (Golden Shower Tree), Thailand’s national flower.

This collaboration not only honors Thai culture but also masterfully showcases the world-class talent of Filipino designers.

This sponsorship is a significant milestone for Bench. From its beginnings as a small T-shirt label, it has evolved into a formidable lifestyle brand that proves Filipino ingenuity can dazzle on the world stage.

By partnering with Miss Universe Organization, Bench not only provides the delegates with exceptional swimwear but also weaves a narrative of Filipino pride, cultural respect and universal inclusivity.
